Living from the heart: Weekend Retreats
“They say there is a window from one heart to another. How can there be a window where no wall remains…” Rumi
Drawing inspiration from teachers and mystics of different traditions, as well as modern healing practices, these weekend retreats are designed to be a restful break from your daily life. We’ll work with meditation, free-form dance, yoga, poetry, body-work and healing techniques to explore how we can live from our hearts.

We ran our first retreat July 2011, dates and titles for retreats for 2012:
JUNE 29th-1st July- Living from the Heart presents ‘Recovering Wellbeing’
This retreat invites you into a healing space to assist recovery from chronic health conditions, depression or challenging life transitions. There will be opportunities to explore together with meditation, mindfulness, gentle yoga, group-sharing and healing approaches such as Emotional Freedom Technique. Taking part in as much as you’d like – you’ll be supported to allow your personal healing to unfold.
Venue: Barmoor, Hutton-le-Hole, North Yorkshire Moors

JULY 6th-8th- Living from the Heart presents ‘A Woman’s Circle’
A retreat for woman, focused on what it is to be a woman. It has been said it is the force of the feminine that will help shape a better future for humanity. How can we as woman be both receptive and loving, and also powerful and strong? The retreat will focus on meditation, yoga, group sharing and dance.
Venue: Unstone Grange, Crow Lane, Unstone, Derbyshire S18 4AL

The retreats will be facilitated by Frances Goodall and Sophie Jane Mortimer. Frances has 10 years experience of meditation, and is a bodyworker and psychology practitioner. She has 7 years experience in alternative medicine working one-to-one and facilitating groups. Sophie, an artist, film maker and bodyworker, has been studying meditation and yoga for 6 years, qualifying as a yoga teacher (RYS and IYF) in 2009
